I have been dreading this birthday my whole life, but especially the past few months because it came too quickly! But it has come and gone. I thought it would be the most horrible day of my
existence, but thanks to my AMAZING husband it was one of my greatest birthdays ever! He surprised me with a trip to DISNEYLAND. Just me and him. It was so sweet and romantic! He's the bomb-
diggity! We had such an awesome trip. We left on Wednesday night. My family was here. We spent the previous two days at Zion and flying kites together. It was fun. So as we were pulling away, I said goodbye, but I didn't get to say goodbye to my mom, so I told them to say goodbye for me. They waved us on and said not to worry about it, she was in the bathroom. So we left. A few blocks down the road....

My mom pops up from the back seat! She scared us both half to death, we were shocked! The Babe thought he had hit a kid or something! It was pretty funny. My dad and Mandy followed us to Walkers, so we kicked her out there!

This is me on my way to Disneyland for my birthday!!!!

This is The Babe, driving me to Disneyland for my birthday!!!!
DISNEYLAND...
On Wednesday night we went to Downtown Disney to look around and shop a little before the big day. The cashier asked if we were there for Spring break. I told her no, we were here for my birthday, so she gave me a birthday badge with my name on it! The next day in Disneyland all the workers wished me happy birthday! At first I was a little shy about the attention, but by the end of the day, I was eating it up! It was kind of fun!

First thing, we went to the Blue Bayou and got reservations for lunch. It's so romantic to eat there. The candlelight flickering, the crickets chirping, a slight breeze. We got a table right next to the water, which makes it even more romantic! It was awesome. The Babe ordered the best salmon we have both ever tasted. I ordered a Monte
Cristo, I didn't love it, but it was
OK. But The Babe wanted me to have the best birthday ever, so he traded me his divine salmon for my just
OK Monte
Cristo.
AHHHH. He's the best! I even tried a crawdad! It was weird. But I swallowed and that's big for me! Then the waitress noticed my birthday badge, so she brought me a chocolate moose dessert, she put a candle in it and lit it then told me to make a wish! So I did! I wished we could come back very soon and share the magic with our children!

Teacups!

I was very very brave and allowed myself to go on Splash Mountain. The two times I have been on this ride, my face is covered so you can't really see me, but I was on it! The logs backed up right before the fall, so there were about 4 logs worth of people crammed together. I thought I was going to puke! I almost got up and walked back to the bottom! This ride terrifies me! But look, I did it!

We were soaked after the ride, The Babe was in the very front so he got drenched! As we fell, I leaned into him so I wouldn't get very wet. That worked pretty well, but one of the smaller falls earlier the water came over the side and landed right in my lap! I was drenched from the waste down. My shoes were full of water, I had to dump them out!

Captain
EO....very 80's. it was pretty fun to watch just because it was so old school!

Space Mountain.

The Mad Hatter!
Sharing a turkey leg.... they always smell and look a lot better than they taste, in my opinion.

The lines were incredibly long, the park was packed! So we did what any cute, romantic couple would do...we just enjoyed being together! We made silly faces and took pictures, we teased each other, and we enjoyed holding each other's hand instead of our children's hands!

And then, after an exhausting day, we shared a pineapple whip and sat down to enjoy the fireworks! It was so magical! Thank you Babe! You're the best! I love you with my whole heart!!!
It's just impossible to have a depressing birthday in Disneyland! Maybe 30 won't be so bad!
