Back to Normal

So I'm back from the Stampede of course. Yesterday all of my company left and now its back to life as I know it. It's been pretty crazy, so yesterday I had such a hard time when everyone left. I didn't know what to do with myself. But school will be starting in 2 weeks and then life will really be back in full swing. I'm hoping I can just relax and enjoy the rest of the summer without stressing too much.
It's been a little bit hard, the closer it gets to August 7th the more aware I am that things aren't the way they should be. But I'm trying desperately not to let it hold me back. Some days are better than others, but I'm trying.
On a happier note... My peaches are just about ready to be bottled. I made my mom and Marie help me make salsa and zucchini relish. Using all the ingredients from our own garden. It was pretty awesome! It makes me feel like I accomplish something with my life. So that's it for now. Nothing too exciting. just normal.

My Encounter With Asphalt

I have a nice bruise on my knee. Want to know how I got it?....
So, on Sunday I was walking across the parking lot after church, and suddenly I was flat on the ground! I'm not sure what happened, I didn't trip, at least I don't remember tripping, but I fell hard and fast. I didn't have time to even catch myself. I was right in the middle of the road, and my skirt was up by my ears. I scrambled to get myself all covered back up, but anyone in the near vicinity probably saw my underwear, which is a humilitating thought when you are at church. I was wearing a white shirt and there was a big black smudge across my chest. When I was telling the story to my family, my brother kindly pointed out, "airbags." I think that it probably was my airbag and saved my face! The lady I was going out to meet, turned around and saw me on the ground and came rushing over. She asked if I was ok and I almost started to cry, mostly because I just felt so stupid, but partly because it really did hurt! I'm not sure who the witnesses were, but I hope they aren't scarred for life!

A Day at the Lake

Sometimes it's just so great to get out of the house and do something really fun. This weekend, my Aunt and Uncle and cousin and her kids came down and we visited and spent some time out at the lake. It was so fun! We didn't even get the itch this time. Yeah. And Morgan found a pair of sunglasses in the Lake. Lacie told me I could keep them since she had some, so I have adopted my second pair of sunglasses from the lake! It is so good to me :-). It was so nice to be out. Our kids loved it! Great Times!

June Updates

Look who turned 5! We are so happy that Leighna is a part of our family! She is such a delight. I'm so grateful for her.

Oh those boots!

Cousin buddies. I think Porter and Wyatt have really missed each other since Wyatt moved to Price for the summer. They had fun together this weekend.

An interesting way to sleep. Can that be comfy?

Great anticipation for the 4th of July Parade! I'm not sure why KJ isn't feelin' it!

And look what I picked out of our garden yesterday! Pretty exciting!
