So its back to school for the little kiddos. To celebrate, we had a create your own pizza night. Pretty sure the kids had a great time with that. They were even allowed a mountain of toppings if they so desired. And let me tell you, they desired. I think Leighna won the most toppings award. It was really fun! My kids are growing up too fast. I don't really like it, but I'm trying to embrace it and all the new fun adventures it brings with it. I hope that I am helping them create memories. I sure am. I hope I never forget these moments because they are truly precious to me.
And this little boy.... He was SO excited for his first day of Pre-school. I don't think he could have waited another second. I pulled him on my lap before school and I said, "Porter, today is your first day of school. Do you know that I'm going to miss you so much." to which he replied, "Mom, are you ginna cry?" I said, "maybe."
Oh man, I just want him to stay little. I want him to be 3 forever. But I wanted my girls to be 3 forever too, but they didn't listen. I love love love this age! I was going to make him wait a year for pre-school, but he wanted to go so bad. He begged me everyday to let him go to school, so I gave in. It's really hard to let him go. But...
Look at this face! Seriously. I have never seen anyone so happy to be going to school.
And Ty... well he is growing like a weed. He's a little chunk and I love it! He still loves sucking his thumb! It's just me and him for a couple hours, a couple times a week. I can't wait til that means nap time for both of us, but for now we are just trying to get everything back in order after the fun summer.
I love my children. They are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Next to The Babe. Of course.
P.S. The Babe gave Port the back pack about six months ago. He has been carrying it around telling me he's ready for school for at least that long. The back pack is hiking outdoorsy kinda back pack. It's not really a little boy go to pre-school kinda back pack. But he loves it! It's 3 times too big for him, but he loves it. So what do ya do?
