Yesterday was the first day of school for Adelah. She started 1st grade. I really can't believe she is going to a full day of school. She just seems so little to me. I don't know how she can take that much school, but I guess we will all adjust. It was really hard for me to let her go. I'm not ready for her to grow up. I just want her to stay little forever.
Leighna really missed her best friend. I think she was kind of sad to not have Addie around all day. It's cute to watch them hug first thing when Addie gets home. I hope that doesn't change.
Overall, I think she had a pretty good day! I heard all about school lunch and how you get a tray and slide it and the ladies give you food. And the spork that accidentally got thrown away, but she would for sure remember to keep it tomorrow. KJ was so impressed on his first day of first grade that there really was such thing as a spork that he brought one home everyday for awhile. So Adelah wanted to keep up on the tradition, but she forgot. I'm sure I'll be seeing one soon though. She told me it was kind of hard to stay awake. It's such a long day for such little kids, but I think she's really loving it.
