I don't really know where to start, or what to write about, but I do know that the times in my life that I wrote on my blog regularly, I was able to cope with my feelings and emotions better. So I'm picking it back up.

Today the bug-guy came to my house. It was desperately needed since I almost had a bath with a big black spider! It's so stressful! You know how you clean frantically the whole day before, but nothing you do is going to save the closets....and there is no hiding the closets from the bug-guy unless you want the creatures to start living in your clothes, which I don't! Ahhh. So when he came to my door, I made him promise me that he would pretend I have the most immaculate house he's ever seen! Plus I had extra kids this morning, so there really was no winning with the bug-guy this time. I really hope he has a vivid imagination! :)

I always look forward to summer, but once summer gets here, I wonder why. Our crazy summer schedule has begun and sometimes its a little stressful.

AHHHHHHH I just remembered I'm feeding the missionaries tonight! Pause while I go throw something in the crock pot!......................

I'm back, but now I have to get on with my day :-) One funny story before I go...
About a month ago, we went up North to my brother's baby blessing. After Sacrament meeting my mom gathered all the children and herded them off to primary. She found one of the Primary Presidency ladies and was helping her get the children to their classes. The kind lady said to all of the kids, "So what are all of your names?" Wyatt (my nephew) raised his hand straight up and said,"I'm Wyatt." Then Porter, kind of wandering around, said, "My friends call me Olaf, but my real name is Porter, but you can call me Olaf today!" What a crack up! That kid just makes me laugh every day! No one calls him Olaf, he just came up with that out of the blue. Now he is always saying "I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!"

Hope you have a Fabulous One! (remember to clean your closets :-), just sayin')

I Told You So

Wow! It's been a long time since I've visited my blog... I kind of forgot that other people still blog even though I fell off the bandwagon. But here I am, ready to step up to the plate and start writing again. Blogging is such a fun way to share our lives with the people we love. I just can't believe I've been such a slacker! I don't know if its possible to catch you up on the last year. So much has happened, so we are just going current, and maybe later I will go back.

For years The Babe has made fun of me for the way I swallow pills. Every time I take something he makes a comment. Tonight out of the blue, he walks up with a glass of water and an Ibuprofen and said, "Okay, I'm trying it your way." "My way" is to take a sip of water but I don't swallow it, then I put the pill in and swallow the pill with the water. It has always just seemed so much easier to me, and then the pill doesn't get stuck in my throat, burn going down, or get the flavor stuck on my tongue. So The Babe takes a sip of water and pops the pill in and swallowed, he expected to have some smart comment about how I'm crazy or something, but the pill went down so smoothly he had to check his mouth to make sure he swallowed it. It was awesome to watch his face because it was the face of "Oh, you were SO right!" And I got to say it..."I TOLD YOU SO!" It was pretty awesome!

My family is doing great! Addie and Leighna are doing so good in school. I'm so proud of them! Addie got a cougar club from her teacher, Mr. C. Here's what it said:
Addie is just an amazing student. She comes to school everyday with a positive attitude and ready to learn. I'm extremely proud of the growth Addie has made this year!
Me too! I'm so proud of my girls! They work hard to do well, and it pays off.

Leighna is doing awesome in school as well! She loves riding her bike and we are all loving that the weather is so nice, so a lot of our days are spent outside enjoying the sunshine. Leighna loves the piano. She hasn't taken any lessons yet, but everyday she plunks around on it. I am trying to teach her a little bit about the notes and proper placement of her fingers, but I don't know too much and I want her to learn the right way first so she doesn't have to be retrained, but someday we will get her into some lessons so she can learn. I think she has a talent for playing the piano, I just need to help her develop it.

I have to register Porter for Kindergarten this week. That's kind of crazy! I can't believe he has grown up so fast. He still loves his cowboy boots and wears them everyday. It's fun to watch him grow! He has such a fun personality. He also loves riding his bike! Almost everyday I have to remind him that his bike doesn't belong in the house! That's what he wants to do all the time, ride his bike.

And Ty...he's just adorable, most of the time. When he isn't adorable, he's a holy terror! But he's pretty cute. He's learning to talk and can say quite a few words now. He calls The Babe Poppy, we don't really know where that came from, but its really cute and so fun to hear him say it. He loves his Poppy. He has also recently discovered Basketball and he LOVES it! A couple weeks ago we had our Stake Conference and the basketball hoops in the gym saved us. It kept him occupied so he didn't go crazy. He kept pointing and saying bb ball. Our neighbors up the street have a basketball hoop and he wants to be up there all the time. He has learned how to open the front door so he opens the door and books it up the street so he can go play bb ball. It's exhausting. Seriously, sometimes I wonder how I don't loose weight chasing this kid around. He's getting so big!

The Babe and I are good :) we have had some difficult things the past few months to deal with, but trials turn us to The Lord and He gives us strength to be stronger, better people. I'm so so grateful for my beautiful little family! They mean the world to me! I have been so blessed!
