Baby Shower for Stephanie

Black Friday shopping with my bestie! It was good for my soul. But I do hate shopping. It's painful. For the first time in forever, I had to do the bulk of my Christmas shopping on Black Friday. It was stressful, but I accomplished most of it in one day. It was good to get it done.

On Saturday we threw a baby shower for Stephanie!
I shouldn't say we...I literally did nothing to help. They got the Trina that had nothing left, instead of the Trina who could help and contribute. Thanksgiving week was so emotionally and physically exhausting, I could barely handle life this week.

Steph's best friend, Candy joined on zoom.

And so did her sweet Momma.

Ambra and Sara did a lot to help Marie and Silvia put this party together! They all did a great job! We're excited to welcome baby Mercedes into the family! Can't wait for February!

Happy Thanksgiving

Is it sad that the only picture I took on Thanksgiving was a screen shot talking to Leighna.
I'm sorry family. I didn't realize I was being so lame. This Thanksgiving was hard. I felt so lost. It was such a new and foreign feeling not having my kids home and with me for a big holiday. Adelah and Bentley spent the whole weekend with Bentley's family, so it was just The Babe and the boys. It was strange. Luckily, we spent the day with the Allred's and the Sperry's. The Babe took the boys golfing with Uncle Craig, Dave Wilkey, and the Sperry boys. They had a great time. The ladies, prepped the food and visited. Matt and Nick joined us, I'm not sure why they didn't go golfing, but we had a fun time. It was so nice to be able to talk to Leighna, we didn't get to talk very long, but a good 20 minute conversation was really good for my heart. I'm so grateful for my family! I'm grateful for the choices they are making, even the hard ones. I am so incredibly blessed!

Milwaukee Here She Comes!

I've been hung up on writing this blog. It's actually really hard to revisit this day. This was one of the hardest things I've ever done. I may just have to post the pictures and let them speak for themselves because I'm already crying and can barely see the screen through my tears. It is a whole new experience when it's your own child you're sending out there. I'm so proud of Leighna for being brave enough to go. I don't think I could have done it.

We watched forever waiting for her plane to take off. We didn't know her flight had been delayed for 30 minutes. It went back behind the building and we couldn't see it for a long time. We finally decided they must have taken off in the other direction, so we started walking back to our car. Just as we were driving out of the parking lot, we watched her take off and head to Provo. I'm glad we got to watch her go.
