Collections

(just had to share this picture, this is what they wore to church)
Today I was helping Leighna clean her room. As we went along cleaning, I looked under the bed and found a stack of papers, as I pulled them out, I said, "what is this?" And Leighna so innocently replied, "Mom, that's my collection." There was a stack of all kinds of papers, school papers, church papers, who knows what else. I sighed. The other day she was upset because she got in trouble, so she locked herself in her room. When I went in to check on her, she was hanging some of her "collection" (that I didn't know about) all over her room. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "I'm just hanging these up to remind me of Jesus." So now her room is basically wallpapered in school worksheets and primary coloring pages. But it reminds her of Jesus, so how am I supposed to take those down???
As we proceded to clean we found another collection of random things thrown together in a shoe box. I just closed the box, and pushed it aside. This collection has to wait for another day. And then she pulls out a bulging purse. I asked, "what is in that?" And she gave me the 'you know' look. "Let me guess, another collection." She nodded in the affirmative. I also saved that one for another day. I hope I don't come upon any more any time soon.

Here is a funny Porter story...
Last week we were visiting my parents and my brother Jon took the kids out to the farm to feed the mules. When they got there, the rooster was crowing, and Porter walked up to it and yelled, "SHUT UP!!! IT's NOT FIVE O'CLOCK IN THE MORNING!!!" Where he got that, I don't know, but my brother was cracking up!

Porter wanted to share all of his toys with his brother this morning...He loaded up the swing and then wanted to take pictures.
