Why I Love Being an Aunt

The other day, I was sitting outside, letting my children play. They scattered and each went in their separate directions, but they were having fun. Pretty soon my niece, Livi came wandering over. She was all by herself because Leighna headed in a different direction. Livi came over and we chatted for a few minutes. Just normal small talk sorta stuff. Then suddenly in the middle of a thought, she said, "ummm...Aunt Trin, Port said I could have a snack." I said, "Oh. He did, huh. Well, I guess we better go find you one. I just don't know if I have any snacks that you like." She said, "Umm...you have chicken noodle soup, and I like chicken noodle soup." So of course I had to rise to the occasion and be the coolest aunt ever, so I took her in the house and heated up some chicken noodle soup. It made her day. And it made mine that she knew she could ask Aunt Trin for chicken noodle soup!

Picture Day

These aren't the greatest quality, but at least you get an idea. Adelah was feeling beautiful and you could see it all over her face and the swing of her hips as she walked. Oh No!

This picture cracks me up! So Leighna! She insisted on the side ponytail, and I wasn't allowed to even think about a curling iron. Her smile is what really cracks me up though.

My children are charming, but I think I will stick to taking their pictures myself. Honestly where was the photographer. Couldn't he/she at least try to get a real smile??? But it's endearing right?
