BYU COUGARS!!

 

Uncle Craig and Aunt Mary Lou were so nice and let us stay at their place for the weekend! My kids love staying over there and they love getting some time to shoot some pool. It's just way too crowded at my parents house anymore, so it's nice of them to let us stay! 

 

We had our turkey shoot. 

 

We don't actually shoot any turkeys, just skeet. It's actually becoming a really fun tradition! We have only done this for the past 4 or 5 years. But we have a lot of fun.

 

I love watching my dad shoot. He used to take us hunting with my Grandpa Baker when we were young.

 

It's something I'll always remember.

The older he gets the more he looks like my dad. 

After our shooting event, our family and Jason and Heidi's family and my dad all went to the BYU game! It was so cold! We were crazy for going in the middle of winter, but we had a blast and surprisingly stayed pretty warm, considering it was 24 degrees and we are desert babes!

The boys got to say hi to Cosmo! They were thrilled! 

 

And I ran into my good friend Oni!!!! 

I was walking past him and he said, Hey, I know you! He sat just 2 rows in head of us! 

That was so fun!

BYU puts on a good show!! It is SO FUN to be in the stadium! 

 

The boys were in heaven! They loved every single second! They didn't ever complain about being cold. They just soaked it all in!

He danced and cheered his little heart out the entire game! We were just so far up at the top, that we never made it on the jumbo-tron.

So much fun! I'm glad we did it. I was questioning our decision earlier in the day. It was a little crazy to go when it was so cold. But it was worth it! Next time though, we are going earlier in the season!

Christmas Trees!!!

Seriously, one of my favorite traditions of all time! I have the best memories as a child going to get Christmas trees. Aunt Diann would come down from Idaho and we would pile in the back of her truck and spend some good quality time in the mountain snow! She would pull us on a tube behind the truck! We loved it! It was so much fun. I hope that i am creating those kind of memories for my kids. They don't get pulled on a tube behind the truck, but we do pile in the back of Grandpa's truck (and Jon's, Brett's, Camron's, Jason's and Allen's). It takes a lot of trucks to get us all up the mountain anymore. Then we head up the mountain for a good time. Grandpa always goes p a super steap hill to get all of our hearts pumping, right from the start! 

Porter and the boys his age had a good time on the side-by-sides this year. Grandpa's started out with a flat tire, so we had  to get that fixed real quick.

The mountain was so beautiful this year!

Braiden has only been home from his mission for a few days, so it was really fun to go tree hunting with him. We tramped all over looking for the best trees. We did a few circles but we ended up finding a couple of really good ones.

It was Daxton's turn to pick their family tree, so Braiden helped him find a good one and cut it down! 

 

My kids just can't help themselves, they love to eat the snow!

Every once in a while I have to through in a picture of me, so you know I was really there.

Grandpa and Grandma learned how to make woof 'ems on their mission. They are teaching all of us the art. Grandpa made some special sticks you cook them on. You just take biscuits and shape them over the stick. Then you roast it over the fire. When it's all done, you stuff it full of fruit, pie filling, whip cream, or nutella. They are so yummy! We woof 'em down! 

 

We had a lot of fun, but by the end we were freezing!

The Babe and I didn't even have our yearly fight over the tree. We were both very pleasant! It was great! 

...Until we got home and we he brought home the WRONG tree! 

Don't worry, it happens every year and some how we don't get divorced over a Christmas Tree. 

It's just part of the tradition!
