Moving Day

Time to go get our little girl and bring her home! Actually just her stuff! She will come home on Thursday! I'm not sure how to fit her back into her bedroom, but we'll make it work!

I told them to give me some flare and they both kicked up their legs!!! So cute!
Bugga went with us to help. We had a fun time and had a fast 15 minute lunch at the Malt Shop, then Addie had a final to get to. It was a quick trip, except it took forever! We are all excited to have her home for a little while!

Miracles

Today was a tough day. Porter had to go through some pretty tough things today. As a parent, it's hard to sit back and watch and worry. He got through it though. He has had some really hard challenges, but they are just shaping his character! I'm more and more impressed with my boy everyday! He's a champion and is more Christlike than any teenage boy that I know!
He pushed through the hard and then it was time to play lacrosse!
I can't believe how much I'm falling in love with this game! It's so fun to watch!

Sarah, Zach, Hartley and Grandpa and Grandma joined us for the game. It was a fun time. After the game The Babe and I had a meeting for Grad night. That's coming up quick!

When we got home from grad night meeting, Porter told us that someone from the Dixie Livestock commitee brought by an envelope for him. He opened it up and this was inside.
The note reads: "Unfortunately, I don't fell like your hog sold for a fair price at the auction. You had a good pig and I could tell that you put time into your project. Please accept this gift to add to your stock show earnings. I hope to see you again next year at the show."
The Babe said to Porter, "There are actually a lot of people who care about you, Porter. And the Lord cares about you." Porter bust into tears. And then the rest of us did too!
The Lord is so mindful of us!
I can't believe the timing. Porter really needed an extra dose of love and acceptance today, and this happened...
Someone was inspired and I'm so grateful they listened!

New Eyes

Somehow we snuck in a quick Costco trip to find some new glasses. My perscription has changed, and Leighna put her glasses under her tire, so they would be in the shade, and then forgot about them and ran them over!! Plus we needed food because it's been a hot minute since I've stocked the freezers and pantry.

These are the winners! I decided to stick with my old ones (they are only a year old). I just asked them to change the lenses. Hopefully I will be able to see now!

Dixie Livestock Show part II and Ballroom

Awards Banquet.

I don't know if I could do the livestock show...I would get too attached! I love these pictures of Porter with his pig. I really think they bonded!

Porter didn't even own a pair of jeans until today! He's just been living in athletic gear!!

These farmer boys! Porter has the best group of friends! They did this pig thing together and they had the best time doing it!
(Jack, Tyson, Porter, Carter, Lizzy)
(missing Jakobee and Gatlin and Bridger)

Time to change outfits again and put on his tux! The ballroom team did the ballroom scene in the High School musical, Cinderella.

I love to watch him dance! His end of the year program is coming up and I can't wait!!

Dixie Junior Livestock Show and Lacrosse

Porter raised his first pig this year! This is Todd! He did such a great job! We are so proud of him!

He put a lot of work into this pig. Walked it everyday...almost. Fed it, bathed it, shaved it. It was actually a really great pig. It was very sweet, and loved to be rubbed!

Porter made it to the star round in showmanship. During the star round another pig, rammed into his legs and wiped his legs right out from under him. He fell flat on his back! But he jumped up with a huge smile on his face and just kept going!
In the weight class, Porter's and his pig won 1st place!!! It was so awesome! So he placed 7th overall! There were 230 pigs overall, so that's pretty awesome!

I think he's going to miss Todd. Maybe, just a little bit!

Auction day, for some reason, Porter's pig didn't do so great. He only sold his pig for $850. It was the lowest selling pig of the whole auction as far as we know. All of his friends made $1200-$1800, so that was a little disappointing, but that's okay. He still did a really great job with his pig. It was a good experience, and taught him a lot of responsibility.

As soon as he was done showing his pig, he had to switch gears and tie his cleats on! Because it was also game day! I love watching Port play lacrosse! It's really fun to watch. He's doing really good. I can't wait for next year. I think his team is going to do really good. They have improved so much through this season!

Will decided to join the huddle at the end of the game. He got right in there with the boys and listed to the Coach! It was cute to see him in there!

When they were done, they gave him the honor of calling the cheer! It warmed my little heart! He looks up to Porter so much and there he was with his big brother's team holding him up to call their cheer! Everyone needs a big brother!

It's been so much fun to have Leighna come and cheer on her brother too!

She and Porter have become really really good friends and it's super cute to see their relationship blossom!

She's trying to look tough, but I don't know if anyone is afraid!!

Beautiful Night

Wednesday, was my Temple day. I'm loving it! It was a great day in the temple and I left with so much hope about my family situation. As soon as I got out, I received a phone call from The Babe with some news that dashed all of those hopes.  It's been an emotionally hard week since then. There was a scripture I read during some of my down time in the temple...Mosiah 2:21 the phrase that struck my heart was this...[God] is supporting you from one moment to another.
I just keep that running through my head and I hope and pray this trial will come to an end. I've had it! I really can't take it anymore.
Porter had a LaX game at the same time that Ty had a baseball game, so Grandma and Grandpa Allred went to Ty's game for us, so we could go to St. George for Porter's game.  It was a beautiful night for a game. Porter gets better and better at every game. I'm so proud of him! He works hard.

Tuesday Toes Day

At 2 am The Babe woke me up. He was in a lot of pain, so we spent the next couple hours in the ER. He had a kidney stone. Not fun.  They are super painful. It was so nice to have the new ER in Hurricane, it saved us a lot of time and it's really nice. He spent the day in bed, but he's back on his feet and that's good. It's hard to see someone you love suffer.

Will and I had activity days today. We made these cool bow and arrows and talked about Nephi and how he put his faith into action!
Will also had a baseball game after activity days, but sadly, I didn't even take a picture. I need to be better about that, but at some point in my motherhood, I got sick of watching my kids perform through a camera lense, so I put the camera down and started watching and being more present! I love it, but then I get home and I'm sad that I didn't get any photos. Now I'm trying to live in the moment and be present, but also I try to remember to snap a few shots to remember.  Sometimes I remember and sometimes I don't!
Will's games are so fun to watch, he's still playing in the coach pitch league, so you get a little bit of crazy! But it's so fun. Some of them don't know when to run, where to run, or how to touch the bases, but it's super entertaining!  This is my last season of coach pitch until I have grandbabies, so I'm trying to soak it all up!

Fried Mice

Ty got to pitch in his game today. He's been wanting to pitch all season. He took all of his batters into a full count....walked a few...struck a few out...and had a few hits. He did good! His team is improving every game and it's fun to watch them! There have been some close games which makes it super exciting!

Dinner fail tonight!!

Looks like fried mice!!
Actually, they are homemade corn dogs! They tasted good if you could get past the look of them!

Water Canyon

 The hikers...

Today we hiked Water Canyon! I love this hike. You get all the feels of Zion National Park without all the crowds of people and the parking nightmares! It was beautiful! The weather was perfect. It got a little warm, but not too bad.  We had a great hike!
