Addie's Valentine

Many of you have heard of Addie's new crush...Koston. She was so excited when we found out we were having a boy because she wants to name our baby after him. Sorry, but he's not going to be named Koston. Addie is very disappointed about that and still tries to talk me into it. But no. Anyway, on Valentine's Day my kids had to go to the dentist. (I hate the dentist, but I was a good mom and took my children.) The appointments were right after school, so as soon as they got home I rushed them over to the dentist. I didn't even ask them how school went (bad mom). But I soon found out about Addie's Valentine's Day. While she was getting x-rays, the hygenist was asking her questions, and then, Addie's favorite question....."do you have a boyfriend?" Addie answered with and emphatic "Yes! and he gave me a flower for Valentine's day!" WHAT! She's only 7! So anyway she told her all about it. It was a chocolate rose, and all the other kids only got a sucker! But she ate it at school. She didn't even bring it home to show me. :-( Wish I had a picture of that. Anyway as she was telling the lady all about it, Porter pipes in with, "I have a dirlfwiend." Then the hygenist giggled and said, "You do? What's her name?" "Her name is Wia (Livia)" Poor Leighna is the only loveless child in my family. Smart girl. But she's proud of it. She doesn't want anything to do with boys right now. Whew. Anyway. The Hygenist thought it was so cute that everyone we saw in the office, she told to ask about their boyfriend and dirlfwiend. Pretty soon the whole office knew about it and they were all cracking up. They all thought it was so adorable.

The funny things my children say

Porter boy has learned to spell the word toy. Thank you Toy Story. At least after all the viewings of this movie he has learned something. However, he doesn't know that t-o-y spells toy. So anything he wants is accentuated with a t-o-y! For instance I was running his bath water the other day and he said, "Mom, I need bubbles. T-o-y....bubbles!" When I said, "Porter what are you getting into?" He said, "T-o-y.....nuffing." Or, "Mom, let's play t-0-y.....cars."

A few weeks ago in Sacrament Meeting, he took a piece of bread, and said, "Mmmmm....yummy sandwiches."

Last week we had sloppy joes for dinner. I asked Leighna if she wanted some more, she said, "ya, but just the joe." What part of a sloppy joe is just the joe??? I guessed it was the meat part. I think I was right. But in actuality, I think that is the sloppy!

And last but not least, Adelah wrote this cute little note to her teacher:
