I don't really know where to start, or what to write about, but I do know that the times in my life that I wrote on my blog regularly, I was able to cope with my feelings and emotions better. So I'm picking it back up.

Today the bug-guy came to my house. It was desperately needed since I almost had a bath with a big black spider! It's so stressful! You know how you clean frantically the whole day before, but nothing you do is going to save the closets....and there is no hiding the closets from the bug-guy unless you want the creatures to start living in your clothes, which I don't! Ahhh. So when he came to my door, I made him promise me that he would pretend I have the most immaculate house he's ever seen! Plus I had extra kids this morning, so there really was no winning with the bug-guy this time. I really hope he has a vivid imagination! :)

I always look forward to summer, but once summer gets here, I wonder why. Our crazy summer schedule has begun and sometimes its a little stressful.

AHHHHHHH I just remembered I'm feeding the missionaries tonight! Pause while I go throw something in the crock pot!......................

I'm back, but now I have to get on with my day :-) One funny story before I go...
About a month ago, we went up North to my brother's baby blessing. After Sacrament meeting my mom gathered all the children and herded them off to primary. She found one of the Primary Presidency ladies and was helping her get the children to their classes. The kind lady said to all of the kids, "So what are all of your names?" Wyatt (my nephew) raised his hand straight up and said,"I'm Wyatt." Then Porter, kind of wandering around, said, "My friends call me Olaf, but my real name is Porter, but you can call me Olaf today!" What a crack up! That kid just makes me laugh every day! No one calls him Olaf, he just came up with that out of the blue. Now he is always saying "I'm Olaf and I like warm hugs!"

"I didn't know a grounding was comin' to me."
M: "Addie, I am sick today, so I need you to be the mom and take care of Leighna and Porter for me."
A: (to Leighna) "Mom's sick so she said I'm the mom today, but you can still call me Add."
A:"Mom, I am NOT getting married, and KJ is not getting married too."
M: "Oh, you're not??? Why not?"
A: "cause, when you get married the doctor pushes on your feet and it hurts, really bad."
M: "what?"
A: "Mom, when you get married the doctor pushes the baby out your feet and it hurts really bad!"
To Grandpa Baker, on the phone..."I'm helping my mom make dinner...it's soup....do you want some? If you come to dinner, I'll give you a quarter!" (bribery at it's finest)
A: "I want you to watch me have a bath."
M: "No, I'm going to do the dishes, but you can call me if you need me."
A: " But Mom, I don't have a phone!"
"you're the best mom in the whole world and I'n not ginna run away anymore."
to Sarah~ "you never see us. You need to give those boys a break!"
"Mom, are you trying to be late to the wedding?"
"No."
"Then let's get crackin'!"
"I can see Uncle Craig's hair! He has the most beautiful hair! It's just gorgeous! It's kinda like girl hair, cuz it's a girl haircut, but it's is just beautiful! And Paul too. Paul has a girl haircut too!"
Dennis: "No foul language today Okay, Addie."
Addie: "Oh, no Dennis, I'm trying to be like Jesus!"
A:"I'm ginna marry KJ when I grow up."
M: "Well, you really can't marry KJ because he's your cousin and you can't marry a cousin."
A: "Well then I don't want to be his cousin anymore!"
At Uncle Craig's cabin....Adelah woke up really early, she sat up and hit her head pretty hard on the ceiling. (it's pretty low) Aunt Marie asked her if she was okay. Reluctantly she said yes and then got a funny look on her face. She sat there for a minute and then suddenly she turned to the wall and said, "Do you want a piece of me?!" as she punched the wall!
A: "Mom, I need a pet."
M: "Oh, really, what kind of pet do you want?"
A: "A bird and a grasshopper and a rolly polly."
(a few minutes later)
A: "Can you catch me that bird?"
Leighna, are you trying to ruin my life?"
"People are meat. And bears eat meat!"
"I can whistle...see...whoo. whoo. That means I have big legs....see!" 8/2/09
Jon: "I'm going to beat our children!"
Addie: (very concerned) "are you really, Daddy?" 7/19/09

to Grandpa Baker: "I miss my sister, Leighna, she is my best friend ya know."
The other day we put the kids to bed and I went to feed Porter. Leighna kept crying, so Addie kept calling me to come in their room, I told her I was feeding Porter so I couldn't come and she said, "Mom, remember when there was this lady...and she had a baby...and they called him Porter.........and she could walk!!"
"I found my new husband, it's Greyson! It's not KJ anymore 'cause he called me small!"

In Primary..."My dad drinks drugs!" Because I told her caffeine was a drug.

I was at the sink doing the dishes and everytime I turn on the water, I have to go to the bathroom. So I crossed my legs and said, "Oh, no. I have to pee." Leighna walks over too me and reaches for my crotch and says, "I will hold it for you mommy."

Dad: "Leighna, how did you get so cute?"
Leighna: "betause I did my hair all by myself."
"I can't handle myself...I'm smart!"
"Do you remember this, Mom, It's the Aweful Tower." (Eifel Tower)
"Add, hand me a tissue betause my bugars are detting out."
L: "What Temple is that?"
D: "That's the Bolivia Temple."
L: "Olivia has a Temple??!"
"Dad! What are you doin?!"
"Going potty."
"You just whip out your wee wee and spray it all over?!"
"do I det to go to stool today?"
"No today we go to church"
"After the sacrifice can we go to cwass"
Aunt Ruth, in the hallway at church: "Leighna, look did you know this is the temple your mom and dad were married in."
L: "Yeah, sometime my mom and dad love each other but sometimes my daddy lies."
M: "what did you like best about your day today?"
L: "Umm.....PINK!"
to Aunt Marie: "you know what a punk is? its when you're little stinkers."
"Mom, stop! Don't run over the humans!" (pause) "Daddy, I saw some humans!!!"
"Oh wook, it's wittow Gweyson."
(while trick-or-treating) "Daddy, hold me, my leg hurts."
Daddy: "why does your leg hurt?"
"I dess I just am using it too much for me!"
"Sorry. I dust a sid!"
"Oh, dosh! It's dubble dum!
"Mom, you're a really good mom....but you are not letting me sit by Purter!"
"I not the mom, I am Sweeping Booty!"
"I do need another one cookie, I don't want to be sick!"
"Can't you just please take me home for a second, so I can go potty?"
"No"
"Can you just take me to Aunt Mandy's?"
"NO"
"But ours in the forest and there is bears!"
"I fink him's needs a baf tub!" (refering to Porter covered in oatmeal)
Gramma B: "Ew! A bug went up my nose!"

M: Leighn, it's almost your birthday, what do you want for your birthday?
L: Umm....Purple!
"Mom, I wuv purple...and pink!" I hear this every day of my life, sometimes two or three times. I don't think I can forget it! "I'm tiwed of being a dost!" (I'm tired of being a ghost) 5/24/09

Leighna was telling Jon her favorite color and said "purple or pink" So Jon said "so you like peuce" Leighna replied "yep Peuce dude" while giving the peace sign.
At the wedding luncheon Leighna managed to get herself trapped in the elevator at the church! She couldn't get out, and someone finally heard her crying and opened it up. I haven't seen her be so calm for a long time. She just wanted me to hold her and she clung to my neck for a long time afterwards.

"Drampa, you ilarious!"
"that isgusting, Porter spit at me!" (he spit up on the floor next to her) 3/8/09
Grandma made herself a bubble bath, and she was talking to me for a minute before she got in the tub. When she was done, she went in the bathroom and Leighna had helped herself to her nice warm bubble bath!" 3/7/09
"Oh, Gosh! A wee wee!" as Grandpa is climbing into bed. 3/6/09

Leighna and Adelah were trying to get Grandpa Baker to take them out to ride the mules, he was busy trying to get a few things done first, but Leighna kept saying, "Tum on Drampa, lets go." Finally, in a very exasperated voice she said, "Tum on Dramp!"
"Daddy, you not the boss, she is!" (pointing at mom)
Leighna filled the toilet in her doll house with red punch!

Prt's Place

M: Don't let me forget to buy some popcorn.

P: Mom, do we have an apricot tree?

M: No, we have a peach tree.

P: Oh, that's too bad. We could have just picked some popcorn off the apricot tree if we had one. 6/17

"Mom, guess what, when I lick ice cream it gets in my mouth."
Porter got in the tub with Wyatt to have a bubble bath. The bubbles started foaming up and Porter took a handful and smeared them all over his mouth and chin. He turned to Wyatt and said, "Look, I'm lookin' like Jesus." Wyatt said, "You do look like Jesus!"
Now can I have a cold one? (a cold hot dog)
Grandma A: Port, what do you want for your birthday?
Porter: A bud light! (He means a buzz lightyear)
Don't sweep on me. I not your pillow pet.
Loves watching football with dad. Loves mowing the lawn with dad. Loves wearing a hat, like dad.
M: "Porter, give me your food, you have to eat it in the kitchen."
P: "But Mom, food is mine best fwiend."
Today Porter found some of Jon's deodorant. He picked it up and said, "this Dada's?" I said yes. Then he pulled off the lid, sniffed it twice and said, "yep. it's Dada's."
P: "Mom...Mom...Mom...guess what?"
M: "What?"
P: "Me wuv you so much!"
(crying) "I need mine dada. Mine dada weft me."
M: "Where did he go?"
P: "Hims went shopping. I need mine dada. I miss him." (he really only went outside for a minute.)
M: "Port are you going to learn to go potty in the toilet, like a big boy?"
P: (chuckle) "You funny mom."
Katie: "Port, do you have muscles?"
Porter: "uh-huh"
Katie: "Where are they?"
Porter: "In mine room."
Such a cliche' boy. As Aunt Rie always says.
Loves Baseball!
Prt has become quite the jabber box! He jabbers about everything and loves to talk on the phone.
Loves to be outside!
Eats crayons and bites the tips off of markers! Ugh!

Walking all over the place. He's pretty proud of himself. He even figured out how to walk in shoes. 8/17/09

Two new teeth! Poor kid has been pretty miserable!

Pulling himself up to things!
Started crawling using his hands. 5/10/09

17 lbs 13 oz. 27 inches. 54th percentile in weight. 74th percentile in height. 5/4/09
Prt is almost crawling! He can get around pretty well. He gets up on his hands and knees, then he somehow pushes himself up on his feet and flings himself a couple of inches. It looks like a lot of work, but surprisingly effective! 4/20/09
Cut his first tooth. It is just barely through the gum, but its there. 4/15/09
Porter's getting mobile. He pushes himself with his feet and legs, so his bottom sticks up in the air for a second before his torso inches forward. He can turn himself in full circles and rolls back and forth! 4/9/09
Rolled off the bed today....twice. (horrible mother) Getting mobile...Mom needs to be more attentive! 4/4/09

Eating rice cereal...lovin' it!
Porter is pretty patient. He lets Leighna mall him to death, most of the time. But sometimes enough is enough. The other day I sat him on the couch and everytime Leighna even got near him he would start screaming! I mean screaming. He did not want her anywhere near him! 3/14/09
Porter ate his first real food today...Cheetos...Thank you Uncle Lynn! 3/13/09
16 pounds 1 ounce 25 1/2 inches -- 70th percentile in weight and 77th percentile in height! Healthy Boy! 3/6/09
Almost sitting up...but not quite!
Porter is smiling and laughing a lot. He likes his jumper, and is beginning to play with toys! He also rolls over every once in a while.

Ty's Tips

Ty: I lost it.

Grandma Baker was babysitting the kids one day and she walked into one of the bedrooms where Ty was playing. He wasn't expecting her and he exclaimed, "You scared me out of the craps"

"You probably have the WORST southern accent I have ever heard....I think it's cute!"
"Logan...where are you going??????!!!!!! That's only 2 outs!!!!!!" (in his angry voice yelling at poor Logan who just got out at 2nd and was casually walking off the field!)
(In reference to our Chinese Pistach tree which he called an ash, but I so kindly corrected him that it was a Chinese Pistach.) "Then why doesn't it have nuts on it????" The answer...because it is a Pistach tree, not a Pistachio tree!
